LGPR : An Year of Impact Across Borders
LGPR : An Year of Impact Across Borders

The Lincoln Global Postdoctoral & Researcher Programme (L-GPR) was designed to address several challenges prevalent across the developing world:

  • Working Professional Dilemma: Lack of accessible postdoctoral opportunities for employed researchers.

  • Relocation Barrier: Inability to pursue full-time postdoctoral positions abroad.

  • Research Continuity Challenge: Research activity often ends after the PhD.

  • Publication Cost Barrier: High open-access fees restrict publication in leading journals.

  • Mentorship Gap: Limited guidance for producing high-quality research.

  • Teaching University Challenge: Lack of research ecosystems in teaching-focused institutions.

  • Research Isolation: Talented researchers remain disconnected from global networks.

  • Collaboration Gap: Limited opportunities for international collaborations.

  • Conference Accessibility Challenge: Insufficient platforms for scientific dissemination.

  • Innovation Translation Gap: Research outcomes rarely reach patents and products.

  • Recognition Gap: Talented researchers outside premier institutions remain under-recognized.

  • Research-to-Impact Gap: Weak links between research, skills, innovation, and employability.
